“Chrome tape on driver's side door handle came loose creating a sharp edge that is a cut hazard when attempting to open the door. My daughter is returning to longwood university with this vehicle so I had to superglue and tape the chrome tape back into place. The chrome tape is starting to bubble on the right side of the handle so that part of the chrome tape will also be separating soon from the plastic”

NHTSA complaint #11119930, filed 2018-08, 54,000 miles

“Occasionally, when going to usr my vehicle, I will try to unlock the car with my fob and notice it won't respond. Upon starting my vehicle, the engine turns over but my electronics don't fully activate. My clock is off, the radio doesn't turn on, and I can't use the dome lights. However, my dashboard information panel does display my odometer, fuel, and temp gauge, and I can scroll through the display options, but they have all reset. …”

“My car is fairly new. I was pulling into my driveway and my car just stop accelerating. It no longer starts up. I took it to a Hyundai dealership and said they can't figure out what wrong with my car. Please recall”

NHTSA complaint #11048669, filed 2017-11, 21,599 miles

“There is a rattling/crackling noise when accelerating. Has happened since I had the car, sounds like a wire being blown around when accelerating under the steering wheel area.”

NHTSA complaint #11308449, filed 2020-02, 19,000 miles

“I have yet to experience a safety problem due to the recall associated with my vehicle. However, the recall relates to brake fluid leaking and catching fire when the car is either parked or in drive. Because Hyundai has yet to find a remedy for this dangerous recall in a timely manner, it has brought great anxiety and fear as a young driver.”
