“The Gas pedal, would not work as I was trying to accelerate when going from the ramp onto the freeway. The pedal had no pump in it, it just went all the way down as I was trying to press and the car started slowing down. I had to pull over on the side of the freeway and restart the car for the pedal to start working again. I came to the dealership the next day on 12/5/25, at around 5:45pm in which I was scheduled to come back at 8am on 12/6/25. My safety was at risk, because the car lost pedal power for me to pickup speed as I merged onto the freeway. …”
NHTSA complaint #11703440, filed 2025-12“New vehicle was recently purchased at Hyundai dealership odometer reading 8 miles only. Four days later while driving the engine turns off and all dashboard lights start flashing vehicle stops completely in the middle of the road I immediately turned-on emergency lights to make the cars behind me aware. Looking on my rear mirror I notice a vehicle wasn't stopping and I was about to get rear ended so I suddenly wave my hand out, thankfully he passed right by me, and all traffic slowly comes to a complete stop. There was no warning lamps, messages or problem prior failure. …”
NHTSA complaint #11586691, filed 2024-05“I was driving around 34 miles per hour in traffic and my speedometer turned red indicating a problem. I attempted to accelerate in traffic and it made a funny noise and would not speed up. I was able to drive home which was about a mile away. Once I got home I turned the vehicle off and back on and the speedometer was blue again. I took it to the dealer and they advise they could not locate the problem , They put it on a level 3 scope and drove it a lot. Since then it happened as I left home and I stopped the vehicle and started it again which solved the problem. The car has around 3100 miles. …”
NHTSA complaint #11625564, filed 2024-11“When you accelerate & let off the gas pedal, the vehicle still accelerated for 2 seconds after you release the gas pedal. It is like there is a delay with drive by wire signal. This situation can cause rear end collisions & hard panic braking. Please recall this situation to prevent higher insurance cost & increased accidents!”
