“My 2024 Hyundai Elantra limited keep slamming the breaks and Hyundai keep running me in circles and won’t fix it. I fear my vehicle will cause a collision. A case with Hyundai has been open for over 3 months.”

NHTSA complaint #11771753, filed 2026-10

“This is a repeat incident. While driving, the speedometer stops working, tachometer, all of the collision warning systems start going through a self test, the check engine light comes on, and most concerning is the power steering. It becomes heavy, as if it is working at half power. The dealer kept the car for over a week recently, and they said that they were unable to duplicate the issue. It happened again while I was on a road trip , and I stopped by five star Hyundai in Albany ga. …”

NHTSA complaint #11666981, filed 2025-06

“November 2023: purchase vehicle. September 2, 2024: driving on highway 50-55mph in right lane. No one/nothing in front of me. Clear day. Vehicle collision alert starts beeping, vehicle abruptly brakes and steers itself into the left lane. I feared for my life and also for the person who was behind me. September 16-17, 2024: drop off vehicle at dealership for oil change. Notfd service advisor of sep 2 incident, requested investigation. Was told I'd have to pay for diagnostics and they would likely not find anything wrong. …”

NHTSA complaint #11634008, filed 2025-01

“When I am using cruise control, my car will just randomly slam on its breaks. I have taken my car into the dealer multiple times, and they have written it off everytime. They have said it’s “direct sunlight” yet I can prove it’s not happening in the sunlight. It happened again today when it was cloudy. It’s also happened before the sun came up in the morning. I have even filed a case with Hyundai directly, and they said if they can’t get it to mimic it, then they can’t do anything about it. But it’s so random, sometimes it happens 50 miles from home, other times it’s 300 miles from home. …”

NHTSA complaint #11701567, filed 2025-11

“--Steering was affected and brakes. The vehicle is damaged and may be available for inspection. --Safety was put at risk as the car did not engage in emergency brakes and veered left into another vehicle. --N/A; Unaware if problem has been reproduced --Inspected by Insurance Reps and Auto repairmen --No there were not any warnings, Unkown when it first appeared”
