“Takata recall 4. The airbag light will not go off. Atlanta police stated I not drive the car and to report it. My family lives could be in danger. No mechanic wanted to touch it. I would very much like to this these items repaired, especially the airbag signal/light. I don't know if it will go off or not but I need this done before anything else. I will upload the picture via email. System issues. I purchased a used 2009 Genesis sedan in september of 2015. We have noticed that several unusual issues have surfaced since the purchase. …”

NHTSA complaint #11156451, filed 2018-12, 100,000 miles

“Windshield wipers quit working, did some research online, come to find out that the wipers not working is a common problem on all 2009-2012 Genesis. Hyundai has not come out with a recall nor a service bulletin knowing this is a safety issue and the vehivle is inoperable in bad weather conditions.”

NHTSA complaint #10788963, filed 2015-11, 2 miles

“Wiper motor suddenly stopped working. No prior issues, just suddenly stopped working. Have read on internet this has been reported and typically blades will operate if put in lo position but it's not working in my incident! They won't work at all.”

NHTSA complaint #11019088, filed 2017-08, 50,080 miles

“Windshield wipers replaced due to chatter problem not solved using manufacture parts. During rain windshield wipers stop working, in a few min. The system resets, wipers chatter and stop working. I believe there is a problem with the wiper motor and not the blades, dealer could not fix the problem, I have found that others with this same year, make, and model have the same problem and have not found a solution. I believe that the wiper motor(s) should be replaced under warranty.”

NHTSA complaint #10436193, filed 2011-11

“The contact owns a 2009 Hyundai Genesis. The contact stated that the position and assembly of the driver side exterior mirror caused him to have several crashes. There were no injuries or police reports; however, there was minor damage to the vehicle. The contact was unable to see above or below the mirror. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was repaired. The VIN and failure mileage were not provided....updated 12/28/16 the consumer no longer owns the vehicle. Updated 01/04/17.”
