“I purchase this vehicle in 2011, ever since the first month of ownership the TPMS light continuously goes on and off. I have had the vehicle in to the Hyundai service center numerous times, roughly once a month for over a year, for this very problem. Today, 12/28/12, my vehicle is back in the shop. I was called by the service manager and told that there was a bulletin they received regarding this light from Hyundai. They said that any radio or magnetic wave interference or other electronic devices can cause this light to come on. …”

NHTSA complaint #10511256, filed 2013-05, 21,000 miles“Unfortunately, I do not know the exact first date of incidence, so I put todays date. Since purchasing my 2011 Veracruz I have had to deal with the TPMS light turning on frequently while I am driving. On more than one occasion I have brought the car to the service department and each time, there has been nothing wrong with the system. As was reported to me by my service advisor, there is a known defect that the TPMS light goes on when something is being charged. As silly as this sounds, I understand that it is not the service departments problem, so I only charge when necessary. …”
