“The supplemental air bag warning light came on the dashboard. My local mechanic coded it at B1018, occupant sensor failure. At his suggestion, I brought it to a Nissan dealership (Infiniti is over an hour away from where I live.). They indicated I need to replace both seat sensor and OCS module. They say the seat must be replaced. Checking the Internet, there is a recent recall for Infiniti air bag problems. I contend that if that same system was used in 2011, a recall of that year should exist. In addition, there are many similar issues reported on the Internet.”
NHTSA complaint #11574019, filed 2024-02“The contact owns a 2011 infinity G25. The contact stated that while driving approximately 3 MPH, the vehicle was involved in a crash and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact mentioned that the seat belts also failed. A police report was filed and injuries were sustained. The vehicle was not repaired and was totaled. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure was 25,400. Updated 3/24/15”
