“Today, I found 2003 Infiniti G35 sedan leak oil into spark plug hole. Oil leak into the spark hole would cause engine fire with high voltage from ignition coils. I also found this issue was not limited to my vehicle but most of Infiniti/nissan vehicles had this problem. I believe nissan already has known this issue. I hope NHTSA would do something for all of nissan/Infiniti vehicle owners.”
NHTSA complaint #10376996, filed 2011-01, 117,000 miles“My 2003 Infiniti G35 sedan has an oil consumption issue. Everytime I do an oil change, about 1000 to 1200 miles I check my oil dip stick. It is half way below the full mark. I have repeated done this procedure over 10 times already and have read that this is a common issue with Infiniti and nissan.”
NHTSA complaint #10255880, filed 2009-01, 86,215 miles“I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 coupe with a cam angle sensor that went bad. There was a large batch of these issued for 620,000 vehicles, but not covered under my VIN. I was supplied with a faulty part that could put my life at risk in the event the car shuts off on the highway.”
NHTSA complaint #10341823, filed 2010-07, 96,108 miles“The cam shaft position sensor went out on my infinity G35 causing a complete loss of power and almost caused a wreck. There is a recall on that year, but when I contacted infinity, they said that my model was not affected by the recall. Apparently that model has the defect. The refused to repair it.”
NHTSA complaint #10232711, filed 2008-06, 98,000 miles“I was driving on the freeway and the car stopped. I had the car towed to a mechanic and he informed me that the cam shaft sensor and crank shaft sensor has gone bad. There was a nissan recall associated with this defect and they refuse to repair the defect.”
