“I have a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo that was issued a recall for excessive corrosion on the rear lower link. This is not the only related problem. The rear section of the vehicle frame is rotting out as well. My Rodeo has 80,000 miles and has absolutely zero body rust, yet the frame is experiencing excessive frame rot. A conversation with Isuzu has lead nowhere. This could can be equally as dangerous because Isuzu's remedy for the recall is to install a larger bracket over the original bracket, which is to be attached to an already deteriorating vehicle frame.”
NHTSA complaint #10384934, filed 2011-02“When consumer was driving vehicle shook and rattled also, engine light came on and off. Temperature gauge would register hot, and cold back in forth. Dealership stated that warranty ran out, and dealership had acknowledgement of problem with recall. The head gasket and timing chain failed. The consumer had asked the manufacturer to do the repair on warranty.”
