“I have 110,000 miles on vehicle and was just told frame is rusting out. Not safe to drive this car has many miles left on engine, not happy about rusted frame I have heard about , also ABS light goes off and on.”

NHTSA complaint #10943961, filed 2017-01, 110,000 miles

“I pulled into a handicap parking spot in front of a supermarket, put it in park, set the emergency brake. Got out out vehicle, locked the doors. Started to walk away and a guy that was sitting at a table in front of store yelled there goes your car. I ran beside the car to try to open the door to no avail. The car crashed backwards into another vehicle. The police were called and was told by them to call insurance company and to leave if both vehicles were okay to drive. I feel the park gear failed and the emergency brake failed. This has happened before just in park a couple of months ago.”

NHTSA complaint #10883746, filed 2016-07, 133,000 miles

“I have a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo that has ABS sensors replaced twice within a two-month period. Bought brand new less than a year ago, and both times the brakes made noise and the ABS light came on. The second time, my ABS failed to engage and I was about a foot away from hitting a police car.”

NHTSA complaint #10041097, filed 2003-10, 18,000 miles

“I own a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo. The ABS system in the vehicle has failed 3 times so far. I talked to a few people who own Isuzu Rodeo and they all have had the same problem. So I believe that this is an inherent problem of the Isuzu Rodeo .which should be investigated”

NHTSA complaint #10025469, filed 2003-07, 19,797 miles

“Driver side front brake pads sheared clear of the clips, jammed the rotor to where it could not be turned by hand, broke the seals on the caliper pistons releasing brake fluid. Result was a driver side tire that was locked up almost to the point of skidding and no brakes. The vehicle traveled less than 2 miles from the time the problem was first noticed (a strange sound) to the point at which there were no brakes. Also, no brake warning light was ever seen by the driver. …”
