2017: “While driving on the 75 hwy my timing chain broke (common for this engine, I am finding out) and the engine shut off causing me to brake and nearly getting rear ended. Then while trying to cross two lanes trying to get to the shoulder without any power, I nearly got hit several times. Beyond a major safety issue, timing chain failure resulting in needing new engine.”
NHTSA complaint #11406687, filed 2021-04, 85,000 miles2019: “In my 2019 Jaguar f pace, I was stopped, waiting for the car in opposite lane to pass so I could cross left into my driveway. The other driver crossed the yellow lines hitting me head on at about 45 MPH. My air bags never deployed. The other drivers did yet mine did not, no warnings from drive package or adaptive dynamics showed. Car is totaled, not one airbag deployed.”
NHTSA complaint #11416380, filed 2021-05, 18,182 miles2018: “My vehicle was in motion on a city street traveling 40 miles per hour and I collided head on with another vehicle without braking. The airbags did not deploy and because of that I sustained serious injuries; sever concussion, 3 broken vertabrae, and torn ligaments and tendons in my right ankle (driving foot). If the airbags had deployed I would not have suffered the injuries I did, this is a brand new car/model and I believe there is a defect in the frontal airbag sensor component.”
