“I was driving my 2015 Jaguar XF on 290 east bound in worcester ma when the vehicle lost power and broke down on the side of the highway barely in break down lane. It broke down due to oil leaking on the alternator which caused it to fail and the vehicle to break down. The oil leak was caused by a faulty gasket. I complained to Jaguar corporate and they will not do anything about it even though this gasket is known to go in the jaguars and land rovers. I called aaa and they had to call an officer do the location of my vehicle. This should absolutely be a recall for this gasket. …”
NHTSA complaint #11318826, filed 2020-03, 55,400 miles“The contact owns a 2015 Jaguar XF. The contact stated that the gears failed to shift into drive and reverse several times without warning. In addition, the rear trunk electronic function failed to work properly when attempting to open the trunk. The vehicle was taken to two different dealers for further inspection and diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was not available. Updated 09/29/16”
