“The airbag light is on and after taking it to the mechanic, I was informed that it will not release in the event of an accident. I searched for a recall as the mechanic suggested and found nothing. Since I have never been in an accident that would set the airbag off, I do not understand why the light is on. The lights on the dashboard, interior lights, autostart, heated seats, rear sensors, and anti skid have all stopped working. Although my car is 9 years old, it has less than 60,000 miles and is well cared for. The mechanic has informed me that I have a faulty board. …”
NHTSA complaint #11075593, filed 2018-03, 55,000 miles“The hood is rusting. I was informed by a body shop that the hood is rusting and that it needs to be replaced because it cannot be contained. The bubbling has spread across the front edge of the hood to the passenger side of the vehicle. It will soon spread to the driver's side as there is bubbling now at the front edge of the driver's side. I found other complaints while trying to find a solution.”
NHTSA complaint #10787865, filed 2015-11“The contact owns a 2009 Jeep Commander. While driving at approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle hesitated to accelerate. The contact mentioned that water entered the vehicle and caused the floorboard to become wet. As a result, there was a mildew odor and water stains. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 78,000.”
