“I was pulling out of the parking lot at work when my headrest just exploded and hit me in the back of the head. I hadn't hit anything or stop suddenly I was just pulling out of a parking lot. I heard a pop and then got hit in the back of the head from the headrests.”
NHTSA complaint #11328749, filed 2020-06, 81,190 miles“Radio stops working when it wants and then comes back on, but only a few stations end up working then after. Only wants to work 40% of the time. Have not been to the dealer ship yet. Also the passenger seat when there is an actually passenger in the seat says there is not and the Jeep dings the whole car ride, even though they are buckled up. The car thinks that they are not.”
NHTSA complaint #11372639, filed 2020-11, 105,000 miles“On september 24, 2019 while driving down a residential street approximately 15 MPH, the passenger side headrest deployed without provocation. Fortunately, no passenger was sitting in the passenger seat at the time of deployment. It made a really loud noise when it deployed startling driver, causing driver to swerve and almost caused an accident. It appears a piece of plastic broke off inside the headrest causing the headrest to deploy.”
NHTSA complaint #11257887, filed 2019-09, 3,604 miles“I went to adjust the headrest, The headrest popped and hit me in the head. There was some plastic pieces that came out when the headrest popped, it stayed connected. but headrest stayed (open) for the lack of a better term. about 2 to 2.5 inches. makes driving of the car really uncomfortable. had to strap the headrest back to the hard plastic, so that I don't have the headrest pushing my head forward. and I don't have to drive with my back away the back rest of the seat. This happened before I started driving.”
NHTSA complaint #11593673, filed 2024-06“As I was backing out of a driveway, I heard a loud pop and felt something hit me in the back of the head really hard. My headrest burst open spontaneously. I now have a bad headache and sore neck.”
