“Dash and uconnect screen will not properly dim in certain situations. Most notably, if you turn on the car during the day and drive into the night, the headlights will turn on, but the dash and screen will not dim. If you turn on the car while it is dark out, dash will properly dim. There seem to be additional scenarios that interfere with dash dimming, such as opening a door while car is on and turning on overhead lighting. Difficult to focus on road ahead when bright dash and screen is glaring in your face.”
NHTSA complaint #11030248, filed 2017-09, 4,000 miles“The lights on my instrument cluster panel are not adjustable with the light adjustment wheel. When driving at night the instrument cluster is bright making it difficult to see out. (I just purchased the vehicle).”
