“Every time I fill up my gas tank, the fuel doesn’t shut off in time from the pump and gas comes backward up the filler neck, onto the side of my jeep.”

NHTSA complaint #11742573, filed 2026-06

“7/5/2026. Driving home on the highway the Jeep went into limp mode and shut down. The Fault flashed on the screen for about 15 seconds (Throttle Body Falut) Problem is there is no warning when it happens. It just shuts down. This creates a REALLY SERIOUS HAZZARD This time it did register a fault on the computer and we were able to pull it off the reader. The Fault reads as follows: POOAF In looking it up on this is a manufacuring problem that can be caused by a little dirt, Can be caused by hot weather. THIS IS NOT SAFE! MY I REPEAT, THIS IS NOT SAFE! …”

NHTSA complaint #11748534, filed 2026-07

“Mopar recall Z96 posted October, 13th 2022 for high pressure fuel pump. My local dealership stated parts for replacement of the high pressure fuel pump did not become available until November of 2023. They inspected my vehicle November 21st, 2023 and determined the high pressure fuel pump was to be replaced under mopar recall Z96. Dealership ordered parts at that time. On to March 4th, 2024. I reach out to local dealerships service and parts departments. Not all parts had been received and there was no understanding of when the rest of the necessary parts would arrive. May 7th, 2024. …”

NHTSA complaint #11587465, filed 2024-05

“Vehicle derates power when ambient temps are 85* F and up while towing my camp (which is far below the max tow rating) During a couple of these derates I was in areas where the speed limit was 65 and 75 mph, my max obtainable speed was 35mph. I heavy truck traffic i feel that was in danger and a hazard in the road. This vehicle is rated to tow far more than the loads it is actually capable of towing in higher temperatures. I have seen my oil temps rise to 265* F on multiple occasions and it seems this is around the temperature that the vehicle starts to derate. …”

NHTSA complaint #11467416, filed 2022-06

“When operating the vehicle under heavier loads (5%+ grades, towing even light trailers, higher highway speeds) vehicle loses power limiting speed to 15-50mph depending on how hot the water or oil temperature is. I have had this issue in ambient temperatures as low as 31°F while towing 4000lb up a steep incline, but will absolutely overheat if ambient temp is over 100°F. Vehicle must be left running during a fuel stop or heat soak caused by the vehicle is not running will prevent me from merging back on the highway at a safe speed....max speed is 50mph until the engine oil cools off. …”
