“Cut off on me while driving. Loss power in middle of street almost cause me to hit another vehicle. Took it to repair under warranty they took almost 2 months to repair. Did some research and apparently this is a common issue on these trucks ans it is still not a recall about it. Dealership replaced same fuel injection pump it had. So basically it will happen again sometime soon. My vehicle only has 17k miles.”
NHTSA complaint #11710724, filed 2026-01“Every single time I try to fill my gas tank, at any gas station, the gas pours out and shoots up fast out of the tank fill hole. I have even slowed down filling, and when I hear it getting close coming up the pipe, I let of the pump handle and it will still come up and splash out. I have 3100 miles on it, and it has done it every single time. I have to wipe gas off my fender and it splashes enough to run down on the ground every time. I think this is an immediate safety and environmental issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11529869, filed 2023-07“Every time I fill up with gas it splashes up and over quite a bit. I have tried many different ways to get it to stop splashing. Slowed down the flow, changed positions of the tube. Slowed down the flow to try and not let it splash up towards the end of the fill. As soon as it gets close, it splashes over, on my fender, and about a 1 foot gas spot on the ground every time. I have not been to the dealer yet, I have decided to report this online, to see if anyone else has, and I feel this is a safety and hazard issue to the environment.”
NHTSA complaint #11581614, filed 2024-04“I was turning a corner and as soon as I made the turn, the truck completely stalled. Lights were on and the screen was prompting me to step on the brake and press start even though the gear was on Drive. The gear wouldn't shift to neutral to at least remove the car from the busy street. The dash lights were flashing and as I tried to restart the car, it just made a grinding sound. Almost got hit by two other vehicles. No other symptoms observed other than when on a freeway a few months ago, the vehicle was having difficulty switching to a higher gear in a stop and go traffic. …”
NHTSA complaint #11608632, filed 2024-08“My check engine light came on and I was told it set a code for a flash update . Dealership did the update and told me if the light came back on it was the fuel pump . Light came back on and I took it back immediately to dealership . They said perfectly safe to drive , it’s the fuel pump . My jeep truck only has 22,000 miles on it . Three days later I was driving home and the vehicle engine light was turned off by the dealership a second time and the fuel pump went out while I was driving with no light warning or nothing and my truck came to a sudden stop in the midst of me driving . …”
