“On November 3rd, while driving on the interstate, we drove over some uneven pavement. The steering wheel and vehicle started shaking. After slowing down, the shaking disappeared. It then reappeared again after another rough patch of highway. This is the 3rd time it's happened while we've owned the vehicle. Dealer always downplays our concerns.”

NHTSA complaint #11626396, filed 2024-11

“Jeep Death Wobble. Going 60, hit a bump and then the entire front end of Jeep started jumping back and forth so badly, I thought the Jeep was coming completely apart and I was going to crash. Applying the brakes didn't help, the steering seemed out of control, I was terrified and felt like I was going to lose going to lose control of the vehicle or crash into an oncoming vehicle! Thank God I didn't! I just had to wait till the vehicle slowed down and it eventually it stopped. This is now the 3rd time it happened in the passed week.”

NHTSA complaint #11735257, filed 2026-05

“My 2023 Gladiator currently has 36,000 miles and is experiencing severe front-end vibration commonly referred to as “death wobble.” The issue occurs at approximately 60 mph when hitting a bump on the highway, causing the steering wheel and front end to shake violently. I have scheduled an appointment with an authorized Jeep dealer for inspection. This condition has nearly caused an accident, as I was traveling on a busy highway and had to slow down abruptly and pull over to regain control. There are no warning lights, messages, or other noticeable symptoms.”

NHTSA complaint #11718954, filed 2026-02

“Was driving and my vehicle came up and said I had an issue with the electrical power steering assist system and was going to shut off. I was waiting at a red light the vehicle put itself in park and shut down. I restarted the vehicle and it would not move out of park or any of the windows or radio controls would function. I upon restarting four more times was able to get it back into drive and return home. The steering functioned fine but the radio, back up camera, aux power port, and windows still do not work. …”

NHTSA complaint #11524214, filed 2023-05

“The vehicle suffered a catastrophic, systemic high-speed CAN C data bus loop collapse (Diagnostic Trouble Code U0002-00 Bus Off ), resulting in an immediate, total loss of communication across almost all primary factory control modules—including the Body Control Module (BCM), Powertrain Control Module (PCM), Transmission Control Module (TCM), and ABS gateway. The vehicle is completely immobilized. …”
