“My Jeep just completely stalled out while I was driving I was stopped at a stop light went to go and my Jeep completely lost everything no warning lights or mothing.”

NHTSA complaint #10939882, filed 2017-01, 95,000 miles

“I was driving down the highway at 70 MPH. Then the Jeep just stalled out and I had to pull over to the shoulder. The Jeep was then towed to the dealership where it sat over the weekend because the service department was closed. On monday the Jeep started for the mechanic and they found no codes when hooked up to a scanner. I picked the car up the next day and a month later the same thing happened again. They say there is nothing they can do because there is no codes when they scan it and there is nothing else that appeared to be wrong at the time of service.”

NHTSA complaint #10496259, filed 2013-02, 14,000 miles

“We were driving the 2012 Jeep Patriot from michigan to new mexico, had just crossed nm state line. We were traveling at 80 MPH on a 95 degree day when the engine suddenly quit causing the vehicle to stop almost immediately in the middle of the expressway. We were able to get into the expressway median (barely!) and attempted to restart the vehicle--nothing! We had no warning lights or indications of any problems with the vehicle; it had just over 1800 miles on it. Vehicle was towed to a nm dealer who told us he had another Patriot in the prior week with the exact same problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #10467488, filed 2012-07, 1,884 miles

“The engine stalled while driving on interstate I-25 without warning, vehicle would not re-start, had to pull off of interstate and wait for a tow truck.”

NHTSA complaint #10615208, filed 2014-07, 19,395 miles

“Car isn't getting any fuel. While trying to accelerate it sounded like I was going to flood it out. It would only go 5-10mph. Very bad hesitation and shaking and engine light came on.”
