“2012 Jeep Patriot 4wd the catalytic converter recall includes 2012 Jeep Patriot front wheel drive vehicles; however, my four wheel drive vehicle is experiencing this same issue. My Jeep should be covered under the recall. This is a safety concern that needs to be addressed. I did not even know this was a recall until it was too late. This malfunction caused my check engine light to come on while in motion on a city road, and it should be fixed by dodge/chrysler/Jeep immediately.”
NHTSA complaint #11256525, filed 2019-09, 91,324 miles“As I was driving toward a freeway entrance, I was suddenly no longer able to accelerate over 25mph. My Jeep was still under warranty so I took it to the dealership and they told me an electrical censor needed to be replaced in order for it to run normally again.”
NHTSA complaint #10678185, filed 2015-01, 25 miles“Fiat chrysler notified me by letter of campaign x86 for inadvertent active head restraint deployments . But all they did was extend the warranty for repairs in the event of a deployment. I am scared to death that I will get unexpectedly punched in the back of my head while driving. I drive narrow mountain roads and a lot of two lane highways where one mistake can be fatal. My cervical stenosis may also result in a horrific neck injury. My wife also is unlikely to survive a deployment without injury, being less robustly-built than me. …”
