“I received a safety recall notice in september 2016 but was told that nothing could be done because repair parts not available. Now, 8 months later, parts are still unavailable and I am driving a vehicle whose airbag and/or seat belts may not work in an accident, causing myself and my passengers serious injury. How can this possibly be permitted?”
NHTSA complaint #10980308, filed 2017-04, 6,000 miles“I left car in garage- fine. I go back later to get in Patriot, I find the passenger side headrest deployed/popped open. The vehicle was sitting there. I hadn't even turned it on when I noticed it. I have been in no accident (at least within the last year). It now decides to deploy on its own.”
NHTSA complaint #11326871, filed 2020-06, 106,000 miles“Air bag light- always on cold or hot weather driving uphill downhill flat street bumpy street any speed backing out of garage sitting at a stop light highway or city driving turning stopping I have nothing in the passenger seat all the time I have taken the Jeep back to the service center 3-4 times for this problem. They run a diagnostic it could be this or this then they tell me it's fixed then it comes on again.”
NHTSA complaint #11324835, filed 2020-05, 40,000 miles“The occupant restraint controller must be replaced.-I have not been notified to have this replaced on my vehicle yet!! I call Jeep and apparently the recall is incomplete?! How come Jeep is not taking care of this. I am concerned for those who ride in this car. What do I do? I was assured when I bought the Jeep ~1yr ago from the dealer that the recall would be handled within a few months.”
NHTSA complaint #11084596, filed 2018-04, 53,000 miles“I have taken the Jeep back to the dealer 3 time to have the recall repaired. Each time I was told there is no salutation to the recall as of yet. I think they should replace this Jeep with an up graded Jeep as soon as possible or buy it back. The set belt become lock and chokes you going down the road and you have to release the belt and re set it so you are not being choked.”
