“While driving down the road, I came to a stop and the vehicle started flashing every light then would not restart or allow the vehicle to be put into neutral. Initially thought maybe a battery issue despite my new battery being only eight months old replaced the battery and all the electronics started going haywire requiring the vehicle to be towed.”

NHTSA complaint #11753217, filed 2026-07

“Driving down the road no cars close in front of or behind me. All sensors on Jeep were clean and not obstructed. Radio started making weird noises and the emergency brakes completely locked up. Vehicle behind me was a truck pulling a trailer and nearly crashed into my car. I had to turn the car on off a couple times before I could move again.”

NHTSA complaint #11576306, filed 2024-03

“Vehicle shut-off while driving. Electrical failure due to voltage issue with hybrid (eTorque) system. Los off power while driving vehicle on roadway with potential loss of control. Vehicle taken to dealership and diagnosed with failure of hybrid battery. During my ownership of the vehicle I've had to replace the primary battery 3 times due to ongoing electrical problems with this engine.”

NHTSA complaint #11711824, filed 2026-01

“I have had nothing but issues with the electrical part of this Wagoneer. For months the BLIND SPOT ALERT system has flashed on for no reason. And then it sets an entire host of sensors off that beep continuously on and off while driving down the road. My car has been with the dealership for going on 4 weeks with no fix.”

NHTSA complaint #11683681, filed 2025-08

“While sitting at a stop light my vehicle started malfunctioning and put itself into park. Several different warnings came across the screen and I was unable to change gears or start my car for a while. Finally my car allowed me to push the break and restart the vehicle. A warning light came on with an “A!” But then was no longer on the screen once I turned my vehicle off and back on.”
