“For the past 3 months I will be driving, in a pretty average way, not speeding or braking to hard, when all of the sudden my horn, alarm, wipers, windshield wiper fluid, and lights will go on and wont stop for up to 5 minutes, it has done this when the Jeep is stationary, in motion, or even without the key in the ignition”

NHTSA complaint #10915472, filed 2016-10, 90,000 miles

“While driving, the horn, lights and wipers randomly go off and spray fluid everywhere. Nothing can be done to stop it and even turning the car off doesn't. It can be very dangerous to me and other drivers since they do not know why my horn is going off for minutes at a time. I don't want to be behind someone at an intersection with my horn and wipers going off. Looking online I can see that this is a common problem with this model and should be fixed before someone gets hurt.”

NHTSA complaint #11016543, filed 2017-08, 68,000 miles

“Got into the Jeep, started and placed into reverse, suddenly, without prior warning and randomly the horn starts going off, wiper fluid shooting out and the wipers going like crazy, air conditioner not working and radio blasting and going quiet. . Nothing you can do will make it stop, this will be a serious safety isssue if it happens when I am driving down the road. This makes it a problem to be driving this car, as you never know when the wipers and horn will start going crazy. I have read many posts that this could happen both when the vehicle is stationary and while driving. …”

NHTSA complaint #10971261, filed 2017-04, 110,000 miles

“While driving vehicle several issues presented without warning: suddenly the wipers started going, windshield fluid spraying, horn blaring and lights flashing. Engine then cut out while underway on a city street rendering power steering, brakes and stability control inoperable. Dealer diagnosed this as a bad totally integrated power module (tipm)”

NHTSA complaint #10907309, filed 2016-09, 38,000 miles

“At first the windshield wipers would intermittently turn on, then the horn would not work and then the airbag light came on and would only turn off with the key in the off position. Vehicle was taken to the dealership and was told it was the clockspring which is not covered under the bumper to bumper warranty......odom reading approx 32,000.”
