“The red wrench light came on saying that the electrical system needed to be serviced. We took it to our Jeep dealer which we bought it from and they checked the problem and said there's an issue with it that there is no repair for it at the moment and that we should not drive on electrical if at all possible only on gas because it's a hybrid.”

NHTSA complaint #11600891, filed 2024-07

“The engine began sounding like a diesel and pushing the gas pedal made the car surge/lurch. Then, while driving in rush hour traffic, the car went into what I now know is called “limp mode” where I could not accelerate and I received a warning that told me to pull the car over.”

NHTSA complaint #11648165, filed 2025-03

“I had just left my home and got up to about 20-25 MPH when my Jeep Wrangler Willy’s 4XE suddenly and abruptly came to a full stop causing the tires to lock up as well and screech to a stop then it shut down and I had to restart it. It jolted my upper body and head forward and could’ve been much more dangerous if I were on a busy road or if anyone were driving behind me. I took it to my local dealership and they were able to recreate the issue after driving it and it shut off just as it did for me. …”

NHTSA complaint #11639224, filed 2025-01

“My 2024 Jeep with low mileage has had 5 issues of the vehicle shutting off while driving and not wanting to start after the unexpected shutdown. The dealership is telling me there is no issue. Given the low mileage and the fact that it has happened 5 times, I'm scared to drive it. It's a huge safety issue. Twice, it happened while driving in traffic, and I was not able to restart the vehicle. I'm lucky I wasn't rear-ended. If this engine stop happens while on the highway, it could be fatal.”

NHTSA complaint #11601806, filed 2024-07

“1. This vehicle has shut itself off three separate times since Tuesday, 29 January. This happens when using the E-save system;i.e. mainly the gasoline engine and the engine has not yet reached full operating temperature. It has happened only while stopped at a traffic light. I will contact my dealership Monday, 5 February. The vehicle is available for inspection. 2. Being stopped at a traffic light with a stalled vehicle immediately irritates the drivers behind or worse a driver approaching from behind with a green light. I could be rear ended. 3. …”
