“Waiting on dometic repair approval, has been since july 14,2008 first time I called. Called on july 21, 2008 and again on july 22, 2008 trying to find out when we are going to be approved for repair service at our campsite for our dometic refrigerator. Need refrigerator running to keep medication that is needed cold. Thank you for your time.”
NHTSA complaint #10235312, filed 2008-07“2006 Keystone Cougar fifth wheel with dometic refrigerator problem. When the consumer inspected the refrigerator, he discovered a yellow residue at the rear of the unit. The consumer was informed by customer service they would only pay to have a kit installed, not to repair the refrigerator.”
NHTSA complaint #10260150, filed 2009-02“The contact owns a 2006 Keystone Cougar fifth wheel. The contact stated that the bolts that hold the freshwater tank puncture through. The trailer was taken to the dealer who verified that the bolts punctured holes in the tank and as a result, the tank needed to be replaced. The manufacturer made aware of the failure who did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was no longer under warranty. The failure mileage was unknown.”
