One per model year, chosen for length and detail. Personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

2014: “TWO ISSUES: 1. Latch on rear hatch back 2. Buttons on ceiling for side doors became inoperative Problems started after my first recall, but these were sporadic, so it was easy to dismiss it because the dealer was cooperative and professional. But now, I noticed there are no recalls other than complaints about the same issues. …”

NHTSA complaint #11550031, filed 2023-10, 106,080 miles

2015: “The sliding doors on both sides of the vehicle appear faulty. They routinely do not function with the button and I am required to manually close them. They also do not automatically stop and have nearly closed on my arm before. They are very glitchy. The drivers sliding door does not properly close all of the way approximately 10-15% of the time.”

NHTSA complaint #11388134, filed 2021-01, 110,000 miles

2018: “I have the air bag indicator light and the diagnostic codes consistent with NHTSA Campaign Number 19V109, Kia Recall Number SC175. The recall mentions the wiring harness being damaged and my harness is damaged, with two wires severed. However, because my vehicle was manufactured 2 months after the recall cutoff date, Kia believes this recall does not pertain to my vehicle. I believe otherwise.”
