Example complaints

Brakes: “I was driving and the car in front of me slammed on their brakes, there was more than a car length between us, but when I stepped on brakes the car accelerated rather than stopped. I noticed other times the car wouldn't stop when stepped on the brakes hard. Since then I'm very cautious about driving in bad weather, or too close. Be careful of pressing on the brakes too hard!!”

NHTSA complaint #10500574, filed 2013-02, 43,000 miles

Electrical system: “Break switch sticking causing the break lights to stay on , ESC doesn't work causing the accelerator to stop working and the cruise control stops working. I was pulling out from a stop and my vehicle would not go above an idle. I had to stop in the middle of the road, put the vehicle into neutral before I could continue on my way.”

NHTSA complaint #11278258, filed 2019-11, 126,000 miles

Exterior lighting: “The low beam headlights were very dim... The reson that they were dim was the small yellow front marker light (194 bulb) had burned out.. The vehicle had very limited lighting when on low beam... There is no indication that any problem exsits other than the dim bulbs... I believe that the grounding curcuit for the low beams is feed thru the side marker bulbs... This is a very dangerous problem. The driver of the vehicle had no idea of how long the lights had been dim...”

NHTSA complaint #10853280, filed 2016-04, 96,000 miles

Body and structure: “There is no way to get out of the tailgate on this vehicle, and no way to open the tailgate at all. While sitting still, with the engine running and without the engine running, the tailgate will not unlock in any of the three unlocking modes: using the remote fob, using the key in the drivers door, or operating the unlock switch on the interior drivers door panel. There is no exterior key access on the tailgate, and no interior door release or unlocking mechanism. There is no way to get into, or out of, the tailgate without removing the interior tailgate panel. …”
