“I have faulty airbags in my vehicle why is there no recall vehicle hasn't been wrecked. Airbag were never deployed. My vehicle is not safe without airbag repair, as long as the airbag light is on on the dash the airbag system fails inspection. It needs to be a recall this is a safety hazard and cause death if I was to be involved in an accident.”
NHTSA complaint #11349534, filed 2020-08, 163,000 miles“My car has never been in an accident. While driving yesterday, the air bag indicator came on and stayed on all through my trip. It will not go off. I did some research on the internet and seen that this issue has been complained about by so many other users of this vehicle. This is a safety issue as the airbag system is likely faulty and may not deploy in an accident.”
NHTSA complaint #11230927, filed 2019-07, 101,000 miles“Srs light has come on. Initially took it into a dealership in 8/2017, was told they were able to reset the sensor and the light went off. It has since come back on and now I am told I have to replace the ocs mat and it will cost me $1900. This is a safety issue and should be covered under the warranty. Srs light came on for no reason”
NHTSA complaint #11080170, filed 2018-03, 47,616 miles“My SUV has not encountered any incidents that involve the air bags to deploy. Yesterday while leaving work the air bag warning light came on after I started the vehicle and the light still has not turned off. Looking at recent complaints it appears that Kia has an issue that needs to be fixed nationwide.”
NHTSA complaint #11243368, filed 2019-08, 159,387 miles“The air bag light is on and steady. Mechanic has informed me that steering wheel air bag has a problem and none of the air bags will deploy if there is an accident. I see there are other complaints about same problem. Why have these complaints not resulted in a recall?”
