“When the vehicle was hit while parked the bumper was destroyed the airbags did not deploy. The tune signals do not work, the fuses blow eveytime they are replaced, the hazzard signal blows all the fuses, there is a recall on before this year and some after, but not this one. Gas fumes inside the vehicle, no dealer in our community can find the problem. Shifter is stuck in park, the by pass key works but it will not shift without it.”

NHTSA complaint #10950217, filed 2017-02, 113,150 miles

“2002 Kia Sportage 4wd has a vacuum-hub system, I have been researching on the internet and have found that this has a history of failure, however there is no way of knowing that the 4wd is not engaged, because the indicator on the dashboard lights whether or not the 4wd is working. This is a common ongoing problem in these vehicles, the solution would be to install manual hubs, however Kia does not offer to pay for this option to its consumers. …”

NHTSA complaint #10299812, filed 2010-01, 56,000 miles

“Been having air condition issues since 12/02 the problem is still not corrected. The AC problem has been long and on going. There is like a fog coming out of it once it has been on and then you hit the AC button off and some white flakes come out of it. The blower motor has been replaced in it. It was making moisture under my dashbroad on the passenger side. Still waiting for that to be done. Apparently they put the car up on racks uped the rpms and say that where the pressure should be at is not. It exceeds where it should be. Waiting for those parts to come in. …”
