“My cruise control works some times and then it doesn't. I was driving 80 mph with my cruise control on and couldn't shut it off. Finally stepping on the brake door work to shut it off. I can't see the mileage driven more than half the time, as well.”
NHTSA complaint #11538074, filed 2023-08“When cruise control is in place and you brake for traffic, to resume cruise speed if you hold the resume button for more than standard the car resets speed to 20MPH and you have no control on gas pedal. The only fix is to turn off the card and restart. We are glad to have it inspected. This item has put our lives in danger about five times as we were using cruise on the highway traveling 65 plus mph and cars were coming upon us. We reported the issue back in March 2021 and several more times back into a KIA dealership. …”
