“I entered my vehicle and when I turned it on, I noticed a warning message on my dash that said 'gearbox fault detected'. I put the car in drive and it lagged a little, but I was able to drive it. I drove about two blocks from my home before the car started to rev up (the RPM gauge went up) and then slow down. I pulled to the side of the road. I then turned around to go back to my home because I didn't feel safe driving. When turning the car around, I attempted to do a three point turn. I put the car in reverse, it began to rev up again and the car stalled. …”
NHTSA complaint #11375157, filed 2020-11, 5,800 miles“I am submitting this complaint to report a significant windshield defect in my 2020 Range Rover Evoque. The issue involves water ingress due to improper windshield bonding, which leads to leaks into the passenger compartment and excessive wind noise. This is a known issue with Land Rover vehicles, as evidenced by Service Action N221, which acknowledges similar problems in prior model years, including other Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery vehicles. …”
NHTSA complaint #11646860, filed 2025-03“Having the lane departure and driver assist function set OFF the vehicle has departed from my control seemingly at random. Being within specified boundaries on back roads and on highways. It may be extremely dangerous for those who may not have been taught how to keep control over a vehicle at all times. I never received any correspondence from the dealer or other entity that there may be any issue that had not been previously attended to, the most recent occurrence being the furthest it was able to depart to date.”
NHTSA complaint #11587834, filed 2024-05“This is a recurring problem that I have had into Land Rover service for service and in November or early December 2020. JOn the previous service, I was told the vehicle needed a software update. The problem stopped but I think it was because (as I will explain later) that the weather turned cold. The problem at that time is the same problem I am experiencing now only now the car will stall periodically. This has now happened so often that I have observed a pattern. …”
NHTSA complaint #11427174, filed 2021-07“A few months ago, a message of no fault suspension detected, drive with caution appeared on our dash. Before then we were getting a message of low coolant. I thought this was weird because we had the car for only a little over a year. We took it to our dealer and we were told that there is nothing to worry about. We scheduled a maintenance appt to have the software updated. Also our car wouldn't start, I had to place my key fob under the steering wheel as indicated on the dash. …”
