“Vehicle completely stalled out while idling when I pulled off to the side of the road. Had started car by remote start to turn on air conditioner and cool car when in very hot temperature (118 degrees). Rpms dropped and received message to reselect gear even though car was in drive. Car died 3 separate times before I was able to get the car to drive.”

NHTSA complaint #11354192, filed 2020-09, 11,435 miles

“Vehicle began to stall while stopped at a stop light in downtown phoenix. Temperature was about 113 degrees. Received alert to reselect gear even though car was in drive. Rpms dropped while idling and car died. Was able to get car to restart by turning off engine and restarting the car on the second attempt. This happened on 9/5/2020 and again on 9/6/2020. Was sitting in turn lane waiting for light to change so that I could make turn and ended up blocking traffic with a dead car.”

NHTSA complaint #11354194, filed 2020-09, 14,690 miles

“It stalls at stop signs and stop lights. This is not the eco start-stop feature. It does happen both with that feature on and off. This is an electrical failure. When it stalls all the computers shut down, climate control, electronic screens, stereo, and occasionally the seats move back all the way, making it near impossible to reach the start-stop button to restart the car. It sometimes happens when you first come to a stop, and other times right after you hit the accelerator and start to roll into the intersection. …”

NHTSA complaint #11351275, filed 2020-08, 2,000 miles

“I am submitting this complaint to report a significant windshield defect in my 2020 Range Rover Evoque. The issue involves water ingress due to improper windshield bonding, which leads to leaks into the passenger compartment and excessive wind noise. This is a known issue with Land Rover vehicles, as evidenced by Service Action N221, which acknowledges similar problems in prior model years, including other Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery vehicles. …”

NHTSA complaint #11646860, filed 2025-03

“A fire started under the hood roughly 15 minutes after we drove it and parked it. Smoke could be seen 1st, then the fire. Not sure what starter the fire. The vehicle was parked 3 ft from my house, which could’ve caught my house on fire, luckily it wasn’t parked in my garage. The incident has not been yet reproduced or confirmed by an independent service center, manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There not any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure”
