Example complaints

Electrical system: “I was driving out of whataburger on 8-2-16 and all of a sudden my brakes just went all the way down to the floor board and I stopped right before I was in traffic. My tire pressure light stays on, I have had them checked several times & the back of the truck jumps to the side if I hit a bump. All of this scares the heck out of me and I have only had this vehicle 5 months. Also the truck would start and cut off so I took it to a shop 4 times and they so called fixed it. I was told I had oil leaking into my valves. It is starting better but still some hesitation at times.”

NHTSA complaint #10894762, filed 2016-08, 83,000 miles

Air bags: “Noticed my range rover cut in the dash board, then realized the air bag is the cause. It is protruding out of the dash board!! Called dealer and corporate office.. They state my VIN number is not in the recall list, although my car meets all the requirement in the recall. They are refusing to do anything about it !!!.. ..updated 05/09/17 the consumer stated the air bag was no longer operational. Updated 08/03/2017”

NHTSA complaint #10984358, filed 2017-05, 97,500 miles

Brakes: “Front brake line hose failure..brake went all the way to floor. I was stopped, put car in reverse, foot still on the brake, all the sudden my foot went to the floor. I pumped brake but still to the floor. When brake pedal was to the floor the car would stop. I know to keep pressing brake to the bottom but another driver may not and have no brakes. Car is at the dealer right now getting it replaced. Having worked on cars for years there is no excuse for a catastrophic brake hose failure on a 105,000 car that is 9 years old.”

NHTSA complaint #11046649, filed 2017-11, 105,000 miles

Suspension: “The contact owns a 2009 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. While driving 65 MPH, the suspension low warning light illuminated and the vehicle stalled. In addition, the contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed and traveled to the floorboard. The brake warning light continuously illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 132,000.”

NHTSA complaint #10763076, filed 2015-09, 132,000 miles
