“A warning light indicated urgent - take your vehicle to the Lexus dealer - we took it to the toyota dealer - said airbag problem) charged us $175. And said it had to go to the Lexus dealer so we took it to santa barbara 75 miles away - they charged another $75. To say repair bill for air bag was over $7,000. (our Lexus 460 has only 145,000 miles on it).”
NHTSA complaint #11385704, filed 2020-12, 145,000 miles“Oct. 29, 2019 mid-morning vehicle was southbound on us hwy. 2 in north hero, vt. Vehicle crossed the northbound lane and crashed in a grassy field: came to rest upside down, right front wheel torn loose from the axle. Air bags did not deploy. Injured driver was in emergency room 3 times, hospitalized in icu for two periods, numerous procedures, follow-up craniotomy in 2020, anti seizure medications. Police report, ems report, and insurance adjuster inspection could be made available.”
NHTSA complaint #11398651, filed 2021-03, 170,000 miles“Air bag light stay on once car is running there seems to be a shorts in the electrical system the speakers have no sounds coming through them and the rear executive council in the back seat as no power and the head lights on the driver side go off and on at times I replaced the fuse for the speaker but it blow out as soon as I put the new one in”
