“I bought vehicle on May 31, 2023. In October 2023, while I was driving, a warning came on saying system malfunction, to visit dealer. I left my car with Lexus Dealer on Friday, I didn't get my car back until the following Tuesday. Then it happened again on 11/28/23 again the warning light came back on indicating system malfunction, visit dealer, and received the car back on 12/4/23. My vehicle is only 4174 miles.”

NHTSA complaint #11558569, filed 2023-12

“My RX350 experienced malfunction of the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Messages regarding the malfunction of the ADAS first appeared around mid-August 2024. Upon inspection during the week of August 27 2024, the Lexus dealer, Akron-Canton of Lexus, indicated that the malfunction was caused by rats chewing on the soy-based wiring. The dealership replaced the wiring at a cost of $1,295.10. This is a problem caused by faulty design and inappropriate parts and design. It is inconceivable that car parts would be made of animal food. …”

NHTSA complaint #11612488, filed 2024-09

“Purchased a brand new Lexus RX 350h on April 28, 2023. Within 2-3 weeks, the vehicle started issuing alerts that parts of the ADAS were malfunctioning, and therefore the vehicle was disabling the entire ADAS. This warning would come on while driving, and even after clearing the warning, it would pop back up within seconds. Took the new car to the dealer over 4 weeks ago to have this addressed, and they still can't figure out how to replace the faulty part and reprogram the vehicle. This is a brand new car with only about 1,000 miles on it. …”

NHTSA complaint #11534865, filed 2023-07

“When driving Lexus 2023 RXH with all safety except lane assist features, it suddenly veers to the right under specific conditions below - Have enabled ProActive Driving Assist - The car is travelling on a straight road, and has line markings (yellow left side, white right side) - There is a right turn to the side of the road, and the white shoulder markings taper off and merge to the side of the road (where there is a right turn) The car suddenly veers right and follows the white shoulder marking ignoring the yellow central line and the straight road. Seems very dangerous. …”
