“I picked up my truck from dealership for recall and warranty issues. Drove an hour and a half, parked my car. Returned home that hour and a half, came to a complete stop at a traffic light,close to home. While I was stopped the truck accelerated, now with both feet on the brake, I still hit the car ahead of me. Fortunately due to my quick reaction, the damage was only to my bumper. None to the other car. I called the dealership and asked them if when they had the dashboard all apart for 2 days, could they have done something? Of course they said no. …”

However, the vehicle accelerated, causing the vehicle to collide with a garage door, causing substantial damage to the door. The vehicle was taken to a service dealer, who was unable to determine the problem. The contact expressed that the cause of the problem was that the brake pedal was too close to the accelerator pedal, causing inadvertent depression of the accelerator pedal when the brake was depressed.”
