“A valve sticks in the hydraulic control unit of the anti lock brake system when it is activated when heavy braking that created a very soft brake pedal when braking because brake fluid is being diverted thru the ABS system when it shouldn't be. I noticed there was a safety recall on ford, Lincoln's up to a 2010 model. There needs to be a recall on my model vehicle also.”

NHTSA complaint #11349995, filed 2020-08, 102,000 miles

“Abs module dump value-my brakes can be very hard to stop and it's very uncomfortable. I'm concerned about my safety. I had new brakes and rotors put on all the way around and I'm still having issues. I have been informed that this is a common problem in the Lincoln/ford. I have invested alot of money in this vehicle over time and it's becoming more and more frustrating that it continue to have issues.”

NHTSA complaint #11327931, filed 2020-06, 137,500 miles

“The brake booster failed on my vehicle and was just replaced by the dealership for nearly $900 dollars. This is the 2nd major safety issue I have had with this vehicle because the throttle body had an issue that caused the vehicle to completely shut down while driving with no warning. That was replaced at no cost but I had to do my own research for the repair and that issue could have caused an accident with injuries or death. …”

NHTSA complaint #11145116, filed 2018-11, 109,000 miles

“While driving the vehicle and approaching a stop sign the vehicle just shut off on its own. I lost all engine power, brakes, and steering capabilities., etc with no warning. Luckily no other vehicles were near me at the time. I was able to roll backwards in neutral to a somewhat safe location off the road. Several days after that it happened again. I was in a parking lot and had just started the vehicle and then it warned low oil pressure and then just shut off on its own. I checked the oil and it's not low. Oil level is perfect. …”

NHTSA complaint #11362249, filed 2020-10, 89,000 miles

“Takata recal' my brakes make this hissing noise when I step on it and sometimes the car would not stop. The car would keep roller after a apply the brakes and sometimes the padal would not go all the way down so I have to use extra force trying to stop my vehicle. It dos it on turning on the high way or on a main street with a speed limit of thirty mills an hour. Im not driving my car right now because of that problem. I had my kid and wife in the vehicle with me when this happend and I was scared that I was gonna hit the other car so I had to swerve to the side of the high way to stop.”
