“The vehicle was in motion when brake pressure was lost as I was turning right. I have to push the brake all the way into the floor board. This has happened three other times, where the brakes eventually reset themselves to where I gently push down on the brake pedal. At this moment I have to push hard on the brake pedal all the way down to the floor board.”

NHTSA complaint #11269805, filed 2019-10, 139,800 miles

“I purchased this car in september 29, 2013, with 3 miles on it. It currently has just over 20,000 miles on it. The brake booster started hissing, squealing, when I depressed the brakes to start the car last week, but I thought it was because I had just washed the car. Now the car was just out of warranty. This should be covered under the warranty, but Lincoln wants $1,000 to repair.”

NHTSA complaint #11133089, filed 2018-10, 20,000 miles

“Brake booster has tear preventing car from stopping when brake is applied, car has approximately 30100 miles. Took car to Lincoln dealer service dept and was told yes there is a problems with brake booster but my VIN no has not been recalled while others were for 2013 and therefore my claim would be not honored under recall”

NHTSA complaint #11056927, filed 2017-12, 29,700 miles

“My vehicle's power shut down without any warning on busy city street (3 lane road). I was unable to steer or brake. I had to coast off the road until car stopped. Then I put it into park. It restarted and drove fine after the restart. Very scary. Thankful I wasn't driving 70 MPH on busy interstate. Throttle body replaced recently as engine had been bucking and wasn't accelerating when gas pedal was depressed.”

NHTSA complaint #11245337, filed 2019-08, 61,800 miles

“Continued braking problems, I replaced all 4 wheel calipers , rotors pads and cylinders approx. 1 year ago. I hit a bump and the brake pedal went almost to the floor. I changed the brake fluid and the ABS pump. The brake pedal is still mushy”

NHTSA complaint #11367003, filed 2020-10, 82,000 miles
