Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“The chrome plate on the left front rim chipped, causing the air in the tire to leak. Dealer replaced the left front wheel. No air pressure loss was evident until a sudden loss from 32 PSI to 15 PSI experienced. The dealer removed the tire and revealed a failed area about 2 1/2 inch long by 1/2 wide. The chrome plate appeared to be a bend failure to the wheel. There was sometimes a loss of 15 PSI to 15 minutes sometimes a loss of 15 PSI overnight.”
