“I was parking at applebees when the car bolted and slammed in the wall. I tried to put it in park but went in reverse also at hgh speed. Finally I was able to brake and go to park. I'm concerned. I did not have my foot on the acceleator. I would like someone to check my car out.”
NHTSA complaint #10949857, filed 2017-02, 230,000 miles“2005 Lincoln tonw car accelerator sticks, with cruise control not engaged. It will accelerate while braking, at a stop, in reverse, and almost anytime at anytime. I brought the car into the shop, first time they billed me to clean things out. This didn't work so they said they would drive it to see what it was. Less than 1/8th tank of gas and a week later they found nothing. Gave it back with a computor in it and a button to push when it did it again. 3 days later I had 4 examples pushed on there computor. Now they said they can't retrive the information.”
