“In car accident on dec 12, 2019. Upon impact. Severe pain caused from air bag deployment. Myself and my son when both hit in the face. My car was completely totaled due to air bag deployment . My car was turned a little to the right to avoid full blown rear impact coming up over hill. Was on a city street and my steering wheel was broken in half. I am receiving recall on air bags 40 days after accident occurred. My car was a total loss. I have been driving a rental at cost to me for almost 6 weeks now.”
NHTSA complaint #11300994, filed 2020-01, 182,000 miles“The contact owns a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr. The contact stated that the windows and sunroof open without the vehicle being started simply by pushing the remote ignition key. She stated that it was a safety issue because the windows and sunroof could be opened without her knowledge, allowing someone to enter the vehicle. The failure has been occurring since march of 2008. The vehicle was taken in for an oil change and the mechanic stated that they would investigate the issue. Ford stated that there was a glitch in the remote ignition key. …”
NHTSA complaint #10229789, filed 2008-06, 2,000 miles“The dash board of the vehicle is severely warped, I have been told this is very common with this year model. The warp is at the defrost vent as well at the front of the dash above the clock. The warp is a safety concern, as defrost does not work as it should due to the warping. Door handle (specifically drives side at this time) will not open from the inside. You have to roll down the window or have someone else open the door from the outside. This is also a safety concern, as in case of emergencies you cannot open the door to exit the vehicle.”
