Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Seat moved into the full forward and full forward tilt position without warning pinning my knees against the lower dash and my chest against the steering wheel. The manual override buttons on the side of the seat were inoperable to stop the movement. Fortunately this happened prior to leaving the garage. If it would have happened on the highway I would not have been able to control the car. Car is currently not driveable.”

NHTSA complaint #11494228, filed 2022-11

“While driving the passenger seat back spontaneously started to move forward folding the passenger in half. The touch screen controls were unresponsive. I needed to stop the car and use the manual control buttons on the side of the seat in order to unfold the passenger.”

NHTSA complaint #11528752, filed 2023-06
