“If the lift gate falls unexpectedly, it may hit the user, increasing their risk of injury. This is a current recall on other models but is not currently listed for my vehicle. It definitely effects my car and would like my model added to the current recall.”
NHTSA complaint #11268302, filed 2019-10, 55,000 miles“A few months ago, I bumped a pickup truck - at perhaps 2 or 3 MPH. Air bags didn't deploy, but my car sustained over $4,000 in body damage from this very minor incident. Yesterday, I came back from the store and found that someone had backed into the front of the car with an SUV or something, and the whole left front of the car is pushed over almost two inches to the left. The paint is barely scratched! No glass or plastic is broken, but the front of this car is just astonishingly fragile. …”
NHTSA complaint #10903441, filed 2016-09, 50,000 miles“The instrument panel has come loose, and there is a opening, the inside of it is chipped as well and it is foggy. Just normal driving to and from work. Mazda offered a special service warranty, which my car did not qualify because this gap had not occurred yet. Conveniently, the extension expired before my panel started coming apart. I spoke with Mazda today and they told me I was to late. Well I was ineligible because it hadn't come apart yet. Apparently they are aware of this problem as they did off a special warranty for it. …”
NHTSA complaint #11408464, filed 2021-04“2013 MAZDA3, hazard involving the design of the window and door which the posts are wider in this car and cause a serious blind spot. Updated 02/12/15”
NHTSA complaint #10683335, filed 2015-02“The contact owns a 2013 Mazda Mazda3. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V644000 (Structure) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted, and the contact was informed that the part for the recall repair was not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.”
