2007: “The sliding doors seem to be frozen and they will not latch properly. One day while my daughters were in the car with me the doors slid open after I drove away and they thought they had closed the doors. The other two days the door did not slide open but the light indicated the door was open but we hadn't used the doors we only unlocked them.”

Our heads struck headrests and driver and front passenger seats instantly reclined back onto front of children's car seats. They're legs would have been crushed at the knees if they were in the accident. Our necks were sore from whiplash.”
NHTSA complaint #11416664, filed 2021-05, 110,300 miles2006: “While driving down the highway my driver side sliding door flew open with my 5 and 3 year old in the car. When I pulled over and tried to close it I could see that the latch was frozen open. I could not get it to latch again until the temperature had been warmer for half the day. It has been colder that 25 degrees for the last 3 days.”
