“My drivers power window on my 2000 Mazda MPV died for no reason. I have spoken with several others, who said the same happened to them. After calling several salvage yards for a used motor, I was told they have many passenger motors but not one drivers. Is this a flaw in the van? With new parts this is going to be a very costly repair. Window motors on a six year old car should not just die for no reason.”

NHTSA complaint #10149855, filed 2006-02

“Windshield is cracked from a point just above the drivers side windshield wiper mount, then following a line along the windshield wiper till the center of the windshield where it then curves down to the bottom of the windshield. Near the bottom center of the windshield is a tiny chip, about the size of a pinprick. Apparantly this is where a small object struck the windshield and caused this large crack. …”

NHTSA complaint #740156, filed 2001-01

“The manual sliding door contained a vertical line of approximately 10 magnets. A metal bracelet came in contact with the magnets which caused burns to the child's hand. In less than a month, the motor and regulator on the driver side window had blown.”

NHTSA complaint #10019563, filed 2003-07

“The contact owns a 2000 Mazda MPV. Upon purchasing the vehicle, the contact noticed that it was not leveled and was leaning towards the passenger side. The vehicle would also pull towards the right while driving more than 25 MPH. Between 60-70 MPH, the vehicle would vibrate violently and could be felt when holding the steering wheel. In addition, the passenger side door, cd player, and lighter all failed. The rearview mirror became foggy and needed to be replaced, as well as the lower ball bearings. The liftgate failed and the trunk would fall down on top of her. …”
