“Consumer states while vehicle was parked with the emergency parking brake on, the vehicle started to move forward. The gear shift would stick in park or move by itself, the right rear door would open while the vehicle was in motion and failed to close properly, and one of the seat belts was installed backwards.”
NHTSA complaint #10034468, filed 2003-11“The vehicle would not go into park and it was impossible to turn the motor off or take the key out, dealer found a wire which had gotten hung up in the shift mechanism, 5000 miles later, dealer found the cable and shift linkage hanging up under the dash, repairs were made and about 3 weeks later vehicle would not go into park again, consumer feels the transmission should be replaced.”
