“My 2001 Mazda MPV minivan began to shift hard and quick between gears. Had the transmission fluid drained at 45k miles. The van has 74k right now and I feel Mazda's design of this transmission is the culprit and not myself who takes good care of vehicle and have records to prove it. Would like to have Mazda rep. There were no warning signs and the 3 facilities that looked at the vehicle stated the fluid was fine and the transmission needed to be rebuilt or replaced for an average cost of $2500.00. On mechanic went on to say the Mazda transmissions are notorious for problems and are among the worst in the industry.”
