“While applying the brake from 56-60 MPH the brake pedal got hard, and the vehicle experienced extended stopping distances before it v was able to stop. Vehicle was taken to a repair shop, and mechanic determined that they could not find anything wrong. Dealer was not notified.”
NHTSA complaint #10113224, filed 2005-03, 36,000 miles“When excelerating on the initial depression of the pedal, car will not excelerate, seems 'stuck'. For the car to move you must depress the pedal further which results in a sudden high speed exceleration, in a jumping fashion. This is true in drive or reverse. When Mazda dealer service rep. Was contacted she said there had been several problems reported to that dealership of the same nature but not recalls or service bulletins have been reported.”
NHTSA complaint #10005259, filed 2003-02, 70,000 miles“The contact owns a 2000 Mazda MPV. He stated that the rear brake pads were wearing prematurely. There was a recall on the brakes; however, his VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign id number: 01v382000. The brake pads were replaced accordingly. The manufacturer refused to take any liability for the recall repairs. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileages were under 122,000.”
NHTSA complaint #10290418, filed 2009-10, 122,000 miles“Nhtsa 01v382000 manufacturer campaign # 0520a 12/20/2001 remedy available dx brake lines and valves. As vehicle is in operation front suspension shakes very bad about 35mph to 50mph does not feel safe to drive on hwy.”
