Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Panoramic sunroof suddenly broke on my Mercedes GLE53 coupe while on a major highway. There was nothing near my vehicle when this happened. My children were in a car and this was a very scary moment for us. Mercedes will not cover the costs of Replacing the glass, forcing me to make a claim with my insurance. This is the first claim I’ve had to make in years. This is unfortunate.”

NHTSA complaint #11746293, filed 2026-06

“Digital Instrument cluster screen has gone black 3 times since October 2025 making it impossible to see speed or other important driving safety information. Black out happened in October 2025, March 2026, and again on July 9, 2026. Screen eventually comes back after vehicle sits unused for several hours.”
