2008: “My 2008 C300 had the right tail break light + rear right turn signal light error message these few days, I replace the light bulbs which did not fix the problem then I found the brown wire at connector melt badly, I google this issue on the web and found all 2008/2009 mercedez c class has the same issue, can we get a recall to fix it on this ?”

Again I arrived on north carolina and the will not start after staying at a friend's for the night. I cannot get back to connecticut. I researched and seen that this is an ongoing issue that is not being rectified.”
NHTSA complaint #11373602, filed 2020-11, 120,000 miles2009: “Car was parked by side walk next to my house. Inserted the key in the ignition and turned it. The car did not start, and the steering wheel was locked. No lights flashed on the dashboard. Car had to be towed on truck bed since it's rear-wheel drive. Dealer told me it's the ignition switch lock cylinder. Cost $1500 to fix. This is a manufacturer's defect. Not fair.”
