“I am original owner of 1999 mercedes benz E320. Vehicle has 31000 miles; kept in garage. Replaced driver side rear window regulator at $350 cost 2 years ago. Passenger side rear window regulator is now inoperative. I am retiree and no one rides in back seat. Rear windows opened in summer only. Contacted several dealers regarding concern. All advise no recalls or service bulletins addressing problem. Owned several brand autos in past; never this problems with any of them. Thanks for your help.”

NHTSA complaint #10088199, filed 2004-08, 12 miles

“Since the vehicle was purchased, the windshield wiper has failed to properly clear the windshield of rain. Although the dealer has been informed of this problem many times and has replaced all of the working parts, the malfunction persists. Conversations with the dealer have indicated that nothing more can be done and lead me to believe that this is a design errror on all e 320s. This inadequate windshield wiper causes sever visibility problems during rainy weather and creates significant risks of serious accidents.”

NHTSA complaint #761797, filed 2002-05

“Consumer stated that while driving at any speed and without warning the front or rear windows will fail into the seal causing a distraction to the consumer. Dealer notified ts”
